2020 ・UX design + Visual design
Yamimeal App
Redesign
Fun-fact about this project.
Why I started this project?
In 2020, Yamimeal emerged as a nascent mobile app for grocery shopping, offering users the convenience of purchasing ingredients or dishes. During the COVID pandemic, the app helps me resolve outdoor grocery shopping challenges. Impressed by its potential and the need for an improved user experience, I embarked on a personal UX project to propose design enhancements to the company. The outcome was immensely positive, and as a result, I was hired to become their first UX designer, further contributing to the app's growth and success.
(*Latest update- Yamimeal app was renamed as Yesmeal in 2023.)
Pain Points
01 The absence of hierarchy and the inclusion of excessive, irrelevant information adversely affect readability.
02 The initial UI design style tends to reduce the trust of first-time users.
